Introduction

This wooden garden platform cart will probably become one of the most used items around the garden.

Not only can it be used as a carrier, but also as a deck to stand on to help with such tasks as trimming the tops of slightly out-of-reach hedges and it can even be used as a moveable bench seat.

The cart is constructed out of 150mm x 20mm (3/4" x 5 1/2") treated boards for the deck, sides and handle, and 90mm x 45mm (1 1/2" x 3 1/2") treated stock for the bulk of the frame with a little bit of 70mm x 45mm (1 1/2" x 2 1/2") treated stock for the side frame.

All measurements for this project are given in both metric (mm) and standard (inches).
